Nature's Storehouse will hold its Grand Opening on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The natu ral foods store recently moved from Lynn to 415 South Trade St. Alternative health practi tioners from the area will give presentations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nature's Storehouse owner Shelly Woodward reports that over 30 customers now buy freshly baked bread from Nature's Storehouse. Over 1,500 loaves baked daily by Doug Woodward go out across West ern North Carolina to restau rants and food stores each week. N C. 28782 Landrum To Vote Two Referendums Landrum voters will be busy at the polls Tuesday. Landrum voters will fill two Town Council scats and four District One School Board seats. They also will decide two referendum questions. Voters have a choice of either keeping their Council/Mayor form of government, or repla cing it with a Council/Manager form which would turn the day to day operations over to a town manager. Landrum voters will also choose whether to expand the present four-member city council to six members, or to remain at four. Six candidates are vying for the four District One Board of Education seats. Incumbents Cliff Walden (cunent board chairman and a 20-year board member), Randy Craig (a former chairman and an eight-year board member), and Judy Bradley (a one-term, four-year board member) will be on the ballot. Chief Deputy Calvin Atkins said Kujawa was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraph ernalia. Atkins said postal officials at the Columbus Post Office became suspicious of packages arriving for Kujawa on a regular basis. The Polk County Sheriffs Department called in Ruther ford County Corporal Sam Williams, who handles the drug sniffing dog, Gator. A group of five packages were set out for Gator, who picked out the package to Kujawa, Atkins said. When Kujawa picked up his package, deputies questioned him and he admitted that the package contained marijuana, Atkins said.
